Yes, our grooming range is hypoallergenic and free from irritants like silicone and parabens, making them ideal for animals with sensitive skin.

Our grooming range is pH balanced, hypoallergenic, and manufactured in human-grade ISO certified facilities, making them safe and suitable for horses and many other animals. We do have a range of grooming products designed specifically for dogs which you can check out at our sister brand, Mipuchi.

Our commitment to the environment is reflected in a few ways – our concentrated formulas mean less plastic and more carbon-friendly freighting, we use recyclable packaging, are working to enable customers to offset their carbon footprint for freight, and we’re getting dirt under our fingernails each month planting trees in Wellington’s home of all things equestrian – Ohariu Valley. We also ensure our products use sustainably produced local ingredients such as Manuka honey and Harakeke and our products are all cruelty-free. Check here for more.

Harakeke (New Zealand flax) is like a supercharged version of Aloe Vera, boasting three times the moisturising power of Aloe Vera and olive oil. This plant is native to New Zealand, grows abundantly and sustainably. It is soothing and anti-inflammatory. Flax serves as a natural emulsifier, improving the effectiveness of MiEqui shampoos. It’s rich in linoleic acid, which supports cell regulation and is loaded with natural polysaccharides such as D-xylose and D-glucuronic acid, highly beneficial for hydrating the skin. Māori long used flax to address health issues and sweeten food. They wove leaves for splints, applied leaf pulp on wounds, and treated boils and ulcers with crushed harakeke roots, which also aided digestion and expelled parasites. Flax sap, known for its clotting, antiseptic, and anaesthetic qualities, helped heal wounds and relieve ailments.

Our products are crafted with the well-being of animals in mind, incorporating natural ingredients like Manuka Honey and Harakeke which are only found in New Zealand.

Employing human-grade ISO certified manufacturing facilities guarantees that our products adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety, reflecting the care and respect we hold for your animals.

New Zealand Manuka Honey has strong antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. It’s rich in distinctive compounds like methylglyoxal, leptosperin, and dihydroxyacetone, key to its healing benefits. We’ve incorporated New Zealand Manuka Honey into the entire MiEqui range of shampoos to deliver the following benefits:

  • Hair growth: It activates the scalp and supplies vital nutrients to hair follicles, encouraging hair growth. This simplifies the grooming of the horse’s mane and tail.
  • Protection: Its antibacterial and antimicrobial qualities protect the horse’s hair from environmental damage, ensuring the coat remains healthy and lustrous.
  • Moisturisation: Being a natural humectant, New Zealand Manuka Honey aids in retaining moisture, crucial for moisturising the horse’s hair and skin.
  • Healing: Proven to accelerate wound healing, New Zealand Manuka Honey facilitates the growth of healthier tissue and offers an antibacterial shield.
  • Antibacterial and Antimicrobial: These attributes help manage skin conditions and protect the horse’s skin.
